Marriage Schemes: Every parent dreams of marrying their daughter with pomp and show. However, many times due to lack of money, every parent is unable to fulfill this dream. Kanya Vivah Yojana

In Madhya Pradesh, the government provides financial assistance for the marriage of daughters. Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is being run in Madhya Pradesh. Under this scheme, the government provides an amount of Rs 55,000 for the marriage of a girl. This scheme was started in the year 2006. Kanyadan Scheme

The Rajasthan government is running the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana to help the poor families of the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance ranging from Rs 21,000 to Rs 51,000 is given for the marriage of a daughter. Only daughters of BPL category get help under this scheme. Kanya Vivah Yojana (Bihar)

The government also provides financial help for the marriage of daughters of Bihar. Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana, the state government of Bihar gives an amount of up to Rs 50,000 for the Kanyadan of a daughter.

Jammu and Kashmir government has increased the assistance amount for marriage of poor girls to Rs 75,000. The Social Welfare Department of Jammu and Kashmir will now make a lump sum payment of Rs 75,000 under this scheme to the girls of families holding Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration cards.

Odisha

In Odisha, a financial aid of Rs 25,000 is given for the marriage of daughters. This amount is transferred directly to the daughter’s account.

Delhi

Government provides financial assistance of Rs. 30000 for the marriage of a daughter. Backward class, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe people get the benefit of this scheme. The age of the daughter should be 18 years or more.

Savitribai Phule Adolescent Girl’s Prosperity Scheme

 

Under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, the government provides financial assistance for the marriage of daughters in Jharkhand. Under this scheme, the beneficiary is given an amount of Rs 30,000 for Kanyadan.

Sukanya Marriage Scheme

Sukanya Vivaah Yojana is run to provide financial assistance for marriage to the daughters of Maharashtra state . Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 50,000 is given for marriage.

Uttar Pradesh government provides financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh for the marriage of daughters under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. This was earlier Rs 51,000. Under this, poor families, which come under Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), will get the benefit.
