Meta-owned WhatsApp has released a significant update for Indian users. This update includes several new and highly useful features related to calling, status, and Meta AI. You can now instantly leave a voice or video note on a missed call, and status updates have been made more interactive and creative. The company says these changes will simplify and enhance everyday use.
Missed Call Notes and an Improved Calling Experience
WhatsApp’s calling feature has received a major overhaul. If you miss a call, you now have the option to immediately leave a voice or video message, eliminating the need to open a separate chat. Group video calls have also been improved; the person speaking will now be highlighted in the interface, making the conversation easier to understand. This feature will make large group calls significantly more intuitive.

New Reactions in Voice Chat
Voice chat users are now given the ability to leave reactions without interrupting the conversation. This makes it easier to express your reactions during group conversations. This feature makes conversations more seamless, especially in large groups. WhatsApp says this will make real-time communication feel more natural.
Status Now More Interactive
WhatsApp Status now includes song lyrics, question stickers, and other interactive elements. Users can now reply to their contacts directly through Status. Furthermore, image generation has also been upgraded with Meta AI, which utilizes Midjourney and Flux technologies. Most excitingly, the ability to convert any still photo into a short video has also been added, giving a new dimension to creativity.
Improvements in the Desktop App and Channel Tools
Useful changes have also been made to the Windows, Mac, and web versions of WhatsApp. The redesigned Media tab now allows for a single search of documents, photos, videos, and links across all chats. Additionally, link previews have been reduced, making chats appear clearer and less cluttered. This update makes WhatsApp more productive for desktop users.
