Indian Railways: There is very important news for train passengers. If you are planning to travel in trains going towards North-East in the coming days, then definitely check your train timings once before leaving home. Northern Railway has changed the timings of a total of 4 major trains including important trains like Dibrugarh Rajdhani and Avadh Assam Express. This change has come into effect from 30 April 2026. Railways says that this partial revision in the timetable has been done keeping in mind operational reasons and convenience of passengers.
As per the official notification released by the Railways, the timings of the following trains have been changed:
Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express (12424) : This premium train from New Delhi to Dibrugarh will now reach Dibrugarh at 06:20 am instead of its earlier timing of 06:05 am.
Avadh Assam Express (15910) : This train running from Lalgarh Junction to Dibrugarh will now reach its destination at 14:15 instead of 14:05.
North East Express (12506) : This train running from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kamakhya Junction will now reach Kamakhya at 16:25 instead of 16:15.
Brahmaputra Mail (15657) : This train going from Delhi Junction to Kamakhya Junction will now reach the station at 13:25 instead of 13:20.

While this change in timing may seem like a few minutes, considering the crowds at railway stations and security checks, passengers are advised to plan their travel according to the new schedule.
