At present, cash has to be paid for important work of the post office, but in the coming time, the Postal Department will provide the facility of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in post offices across the country.

The Indian Postal Department, which has been serving the country since independence, is now changing. The department is making major changes in its IT system to further improve its services. Now you will be able to make a digital payment while booking speed post, so that digital payment cannot be refused in any post office.

Services will be available through the APT system.

IT systems are being upgraded in the post office in a phased manner. Now, in thousands of post offices in the country, the facility of accepting UPI payment, tracking of post is also being improved with the new Advanced Postal Technology (APT) system. Earlier, tracking facilities for packages or letters were not available.

According to the information given by the government, more than 86,000 post offices have been upgraded so far. This new system will provide facilities like fast service, a customer-friendly interface and OTP-based verification for delivery.

The bag will be delivered by the airlines.

The Postal Department is going to take a strong step in its mail transmission system. For which the department is considering an agreement with the airlines to reserve space for mail bags in the cargo hold of passenger flights. If this system is implemented, then the delivery of mail will be fast and efficient across India.
