Scheme for Farmers- Good news for farmers. Now they will get upto Rs 4000. Yes you’ve heard it right. The Madhya Pradesh government has started a new scheme for farmers. The state government has taken an important step to increase income and make farming a profitable deal. Keeping in mind the farmers who cultivate paddy, the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Pronnati Yojana’ has been started.
Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 4000 per hectare to the farmers growing paddy. Lakhs of farmers who cultivate paddy often have to suffer losses due to rising costs and falling prices in the market. Keeping this in mind, the government has started this scheme so that farmers get relief and they do not back down from paddy cultivation.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme?
The direct benefit of this scheme will be given to those farmers who are growing paddy crop. The government will give money on the basis of their farming area. For example, if a farmer cultivates paddy in 2 hectares, then he will get 8000 rupees. This amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the farmers in the month of March, when they need money the most.
What is the purpose of the scheme?
The government’s target is to keep farmers engaged in farming and increase their income. When farmers who face risks like rain, drought, and fall in crop prices get such help, they get encouraged to continue farming. Especially for small and medium farmers who do farming with limited resources, this help of Rs 4000 per hectare will be very useful.
last season’s stats
Last year i.e. in 2024, about 6.69 lakh farmers sold paddy crop on about 12.2 lakh hectares of land. Now the government will give them additional assistance of Rs 488 crore, which will strengthen their financial condition.
Relief to wheat farmers too
Although the focus of the scheme is on paddy, the government has also made wheat growers happy. They will also get a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal along with the minimum support price, which will take the total price of wheat to Rs 2600 per quintal.
Eligibility and Necessary Process
The benefits of the scheme will be available only to those farmers who have completed their KYC process on time. Along with this, the government will also make the farmers fill a resolution letter in which they will give information about their farm and crop. This will ensure that the assistance reaches the right farmers. ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Protsahan Yojana’ will not only help the farmers in the current season but will also make them self-reliant for future farming.
