LPG Gas E-KYC: Now, domestic gas consumers will no longer have to make repeated trips to the gas agency for e-KYC. Gas companies have introduced a facility to complete the e-KYC for gas cylinders from the comfort of your home through a mobile app. This will save consumers time and make the process much easier.
You will need to download the official mobile app of the gas company from which you get your cylinder. All gas companies have made the e-KYC option available in their apps. For example, Bharat Gas consumers can use the ‘Hello BPCL’ app, while other companies also have their own separate apps.

This is a very important step
To complete e-KYC through the mobile app, the consumer must have an Aadhaar card and their gas consumer number. It is also mandatory that the mobile number is registered with the Aadhaar card. According to reports, most domestic consumers have already completed their e-KYC through the mobile app. Consumers who have not yet completed this process can easily do so through the app.
How to complete e-KYC
If a consumer has not completed e-KYC, they will not be able to book a gas cylinder. To complete e-KYC, first, download the official app of your gas company. After opening the app, select the e-KYC option and enter the necessary information, such as your Aadhaar card and gas consumer number. An OTP will then be sent to your registered mobile number, which you can enter to complete the process.

Online e-KYC not only saves time and effort but also makes the entire process transparent. According to Food Supply Department officials, more than 60 percent of gas consumers have already completed their e-KYC. With the availability of the mobile app facility, this process is expected to accelerate further.
