There is a scheme in LIC for women, where you don’t have to invest any money and still get a monthly income. Life Insurance Corporation of India is providing employment to women through this scheme. The name of the scheme is LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana. Under this scheme, women are trained and appointed as LIC agents. Their job is to spread insurance awareness in their communities, and in return, they will earn a monthly income. Let’s understand this scheme in detail.

Women selected under the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana will receive a monthly stipend for the first 3 years. This amount will depend on their performance. In the first year, a fixed stipend of ₹7,000 per month will be given. To help Bima Sakhis become successful agents, LIC will provide them with special training, marketing material, and promotional support.

Who cannot apply

People who are already LIC agents cannot apply for this scheme. Also, those who are related to LIC employees like husband, wife, children, parents, or siblings are not allowed to apply. Retired LIC employees and people who were LIC agents in the past also cannot take part in this scheme.

Who can apply

The applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of applying.

  2. The applicant must have passed at least the 10th class.

To apply for the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, you will need the following documents:

  • Self-attested copy of age proof
  • Self-attested copy of address proof
  • Self-attested copy of educational certificates
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Stipend details

Selected women agents will get a monthly stipend of ₹7,000 in the first year. In the second year, they will get ₹6,000 per month if at least 65% of the policies sold in the first year remain active each month. If fewer policies are active, no stipend will be given.
