6 seats are reserved

Indian Railways reserves 6 seats for senior citizens, pregnant women and women above 45 years of age in sleeper class. Whereas, 4 to 5 seats are reserved in third AC. Similarly, 3 to 4 lower berth seats are reserved in second AC. If Indian Railways provides upper berth seats to senior citizens, differently-abled persons and women, then this can also be changed.

These seats can be changed only when the lower berth seat is vacant. If the lower berth is vacant then the seat can be changed by asking the onboard ticket checking staff as per the rules of Indian Railways.

 

Bedsheet, blanket and pillow in AC coach

If you are travelling in AC, Second AC and Third AC, then you will not have to bring bedding from home as you will get a blanket and pillow to cover yourself with in the train. You will be given a complete bedroll (Bedroll in train) which has to be returned after the journey. However, in Garib Rath Express train, you will be charged Rs. 25 for this.

Food facility

If you are travelling in a train and you are unable to carry food from home, then food is delivered to your seat. However, this facility is available only in some selected trains like Rajdhani, Vande Bharat. Let us tell you that this facility is not free. Its fare is added to your ticket.
