The Bihar government is now going to take a big step towards giving new impetus to industrial development and innovation. In this connection, on July 24, 2025, the Department of Industries will organize “Bihar Idea Festival” at Shershah Engineering College, Sasaram (Rohtas). The program will be inaugurated at 10:30 am. The main objective of this festival is to compile about ten thousand business ideas from all the districts of the state and provide them with the right platform.

Focus on youth and women entrepreneurs
The purpose of the festival is not only to bring out ideas, but also to encourage the youth, women entrepreneurs, and people of the Scheduled Caste-Tribe category. The government wants these groups to become self-reliant by turning their ideas into a business.
Financial assistance and government support
Under the Bihar Startup Scheme, if an entrepreneur presents a new and practical idea, they will be given financial assistance of up to ten lakh rupees. The special thing is that no interest will have to be paid on this amount for the next ten years. This facility is a golden opportunity for those youth and innovators who are unable to realize their dreams due to a lack of resources.

To implement this scheme at the district level, District Industries Center, Rohtas, has set up a startup cell in Shershah Engineering College campus.
