Big news for state peoples. Rajasthan’s Food Civil Supplies Minister, Sumit Godara, announced that there’s now a Rs 50 fee for applying through e-Mitra. If anyone has concerns about corruption or if someone is asking for extra money, they can reach out to the helpline at 1800-180-6030.
The application process will undergo a three-tier review
According to Minister Godara, the Food Security Act application process has been made more straightforward and transparent thanks to the portal launched by CM Bhajan Lal. You can apply either on your own or via e-Mitra. To keep things clear and fair, there will be a three-tier review of each application.
Applications will be forwarded for review
Godara explained that once an application is submitted, it will be sent online to the relevant appellate officer for processing. The appellate officer will then forward it to the Executive Officer or Commissioner in urban areas, and to the Block Development Officer in rural areas for further investigation.
Quick resolution of applications
Minister Godara mentioned that based on the findings from the committee set up to look into the application, the case will be sent back to the appellate officer with a clear recommendation on whether to add the name. After that, a decision will be made on whether to include the name in the National Food Security list.
Over 88 percent of people have finished their e-KYC. Minister Sumit Godara mentioned that the e-KYC process is going smoothly to guarantee food security. By January 28, 2025, more than 88 percent of those eligible for food security will have completed their e-KYC. Additionally, the state government has exempted individuals over 70 years old and children under 10 from having to complete the e-KYC.
