New Amrit Bharat Express: Railway passengers get another major gift from central government. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Kerala, a state gearing up for elections. Upon his arrival in Thiruvananthapuram, he inaugurated four new trains, which include three Amrit Bharat Expresses and one passenger train. Additionally, PM Modi launched the PM Svanidhi Credit Card and both inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects.
While in Thiruvananthapuram, PM Modi addressed a public rally amidst the ongoing preparations for the Kerala Assembly elections. He took a moment to congratulate VV Rajesh, who has recently been elected as the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram.
PM Modi emphasized that the central government’s initiatives have significantly contributed to Kerala’s development, enhancing rail connectivity in the state. He also highlighted the plan to transform Thiruvananthapuram into a startup hub for the nation. The event was attended by Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.
Green light for three Amrit Bharat trains
PM Modi launched three new Amrit Bharat trains: Nagercoil-Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram, and Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli, along with a new passenger train connecting Thrissur and Guruvayur. These services include the Nagercoil-Mangaluru Amrit Bharat Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, and the new passenger train between Thrissur and Guruvayur.
The introduction of these services is set to greatly enhance long-distance and regional connectivity among Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, making travel more affordable, safe, and timely for passengers. This improved connectivity is expected to significantly boost tourism, trade, education, employment, and cultural exchanges throughout the region.
