Farmer Scheme: To ensure financial security for farmers, the central government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Salaried individuals plan for their retirement in advance, but small and marginal farmers often don’t think about this. Under this scheme, farmers can receive a pension of up to ₹3,000 every month after the age of 60, so that they do not face financial difficulties in their old age.
What is the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana?
This scheme is specifically designed for marginal and economically weaker farmers. Its objective is to ensure that farmers have a steady income even in old age and can live a life without worries. Many farmers do not have sufficient savings by the time they reach old age, so this scheme proves to be extremely helpful for them.
