A massive explosion occurred in a coal mine on Thursday, resulting in the tragic death of 10 laborers, while several others are feared trapped. According to police officials, the mine where the explosion took place is illegal. Officials said that at least 10 laborers were killed in a major explosion in a coal mine in Meghalaya. The tragic incident caused panic in the entire area, and the local administration and police immediately launched a rescue operation.

According to reports, a sudden, powerful explosion occurred in the coal mine in Tashkhai, trapping the labourers inside. The explosion was so powerful that the miners inside the mine did not have a chance to escape. It is being said that all the deceased laborers were from Assam, although there has been no official confirmation from the administration yet. Upon receiving information about the accident, the Meghalaya police and rescue teams reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. An intensive search operation is underway to find other laborers trapped inside the mine.

The administration has cordoned off the surrounding area and increased security to prevent any disruption to the rescue efforts. Officials say that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the explosion.
