The biggest goal is to empower women financially

The main objective of the Ladli Bahana Yojana, which started with ₹ 1000, is to empower the women of Madhya Pradesh financially, make them self-reliant, and improve their standard of living. This scheme is playing an important role in providing economic independence to women and giving them a respectable place in society.

Ladli Bahana Yojana was launched in May 2023 by the previous Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of the state. Under this scheme, it was decided to give ₹ 1000 to married women between 21 and 60 years, and then its first installment was released on June 10.

After this, this amount was increased to ₹ 1250 on Raksha Bandhan 2023. After increasing the amount by ₹ 250 on Raksha Bandhan, it was regularized, and then the process of reaching the amount of ₹ 1250 every month in the accounts of the sisters started, which is still going on.

From June 2023 to April 2025, a total of 23 installments of monthly financial assistance amounts have been transferred to the accounts of the Ladli sisters. Yesterday, in the same sequence, on May 15, the Chief Minister has transferred the amount of the 24th installment to them.
