Sugarcane Farmers- Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given important information about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting. The meeting of the CCEA (Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs) of the Central Government started today at 11 am under the chairmanship of PM Modi. In this meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given good news to the sugarcane farmers of the country. In this meeting, a decision has been taken to increase the FRP for sugarcane farmers, which has now been increased to Rs 355 per quintal.

FRP of sugarcane increased

Ashwini Vaishnav said that a big relief has been given to sugarcane farmers. The FRP of sugarcane has been increased. Giving relief to the farmers for the 2025-26 sugarcane season, the minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 355 per quintal has also been approved.

FRP stands for Fair and Remunerative Price. It is the minimum price set by the government for sugarcane farmers in India, at which sugar mills have to purchase sugarcane. The purpose of FRP is to ensure that sugarcane farmers get a fair and remunerative price for their crop
