According to information from the Health Department, requests for filling the vacant positions are being forwarded to the Bihar Public Service Commission and the Technical Service Commission. As per the current plan, 1,827 positions will be filled through the Bihar Public Service Commission, while approximately 37,000 positions are expected to be filled via the Technical Service Commission. Department sources indicate that the Technical Service Commission has already published advertisements for around 17,076 positions, with additional advertisements for 19,830 more positions anticipated.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 1, 2024. Applicants will be required to take a written examination, which is valued at 75 marks. Additionally, candidates can earn up to 25 marks based on their professional experience, with 5 marks awarded for each year of experience. A total of 10,000 positions will be available for various medical specialists under the Specialist Medical Officer category. These positions include roles such as Radiologist, Gynecologist, Psychiatrist, Physician, Pathologist, Pediatrician, Orthopedic Surgeon, ENT Specialist, Dermatologist, Microbiologist, Anesthetist, Ophthalmologist, and General Surgeon.
