Gujarat Da Hike 2025: The Central Government increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 2%, after which DA has increased from 53% to 55% since January 2025. After the Center, the process of increasing DA by the state governments has also started. After Rajasthan, UP, Odisha, Assam, now the Gujarat government has also increased the DA of its employees.
Sixth Pay Commission employees
In the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Bhupendra Patel, the 7th Pay Commission and the Sixth Pay Commission employees and pensioners have increased the dearness allowance increase by 2 and 6 percent. The new rates will be applicable from 1 January 2025, so the arrears will also be available. This will also provide arrears. This will provide 9.59 lakh employees of the 7th Pay Commission.
2 to 6 percent increase in dearness allowance
According to the decision of the cabinet meeting, there has been an increase of 2% in dearness allowance of employees benefited from the Seventh Pay Commission and 6% in dearness allowance of employees benefited from the sixth pay commission. A total of 4.78 lakh Karmayogis and about 4.81 lakh retired employees of the state government, panchayat service and others will be benefited from this increase in dearness allowance.
Arrears from January to March 2025 will also be paid
The difference of dearness allowance from 3 months i.e. 1 January 2025 to 31 March 2025 will be paid in a installment with a salary of April-2025. The State Government will be given an additional annual salary of Rs 235 crore and an additional annual salary of Rs 1000 to the employees. 946 crore rupees will be paid as salary allowances and pension.
