With the Kisan Credit Card, farmers can get loans up to ₹3 lakh at low interest. The loan interest starts from 7 percent. If the farmer pays the loan on time, he gets a discount of 3 percent. In this way, the farmer has to pay only 4 percent interest on the Kisan Credit Card loan.
To get the benefits of the Kisan Credit Card, the farmer must be between 18 and 75 years old. The farmer should have at least 2 acres of farm land. It is also important to have a bank account. To apply for the Kisan Credit Card, the farmer has to go to the bank branch.
With the Kisan Credit Card, farmers can get money for farm work. This money can be used for fertilizer, seeds, tools, animal husbandry, and fish farming.
