Process to do e-KYC
Getting e-KYC done in your ration card is a very easy process, which you can do from home:
First of all, go to the PDS (Public Distribution System) portal of your state government.
On the homepage, you will see ‘Ration Card Services’, ‘E-Services’, or any other similar option.
Click on the option of e-KYC and enter your ration card number.
Now enter your Aadhaar number. An OTP (One-Time Password) will come to your mobile number registered in Aadhaar.
After entering the OTP, your ration card will be verified with Aadhaar, and the process of e-KYC will be completed.
After the completion of this process, your ration card will remain active and you will continue to get free ration without any interruption.
Last date for e-KYC
The last date to get e-KYC done in the ration card was earlier 30 June, but the government has extended it to 31 SEPTEMBER. This means that you still have some time. If you do not get e-KYC done by this date, then your ration card may be deactivated.
