To make your Aadhaar secure, first you have to generate a VID . You can easily generate it by visiting the UIDAI website. Once you have created the VID, you have to follow these steps:
1. First of all go to myAadhaar portal of UIDAI.
2. Here, after scrolling down, you will have to click on the ‘Lock/Unlock Aadhaar’ option.
3. After reading the instructions given, click on ‘Next’.
4. Request OTP by entering some details like your VID, full name, PIN code and captcha code.
5. Submit the OTP received on your registered mobile number and lock your Aadhaar biometric immediately.
