New Delhi: Sixteen people have been killed in a mass shooting at a Jewish religious event in Sydney, Australia. Authorities have taken swift action and identified the attackers. The two terrorists responsible for the killings are a father and son.
The two, 50-year-old Sajid Akram and his 24-year-old son Navid Akram, opened fire indiscriminately on people celebrating the Hanukkah festival at Bondi Beach in Sydney. Panic ensued as people fell to the ground after being shot. Both terrorists are Pakistani nationals.

Meanwhile, New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon provided crucial information at a news conference. He stated that the 50-year-old terrorist was shot and killed by police. The 24-year-old terrorist, Navid, has been hospitalised. The two are indeed father and son. Forty people were injured in the attack and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Terrorists left home under pretences
The terrorists had planned this attack. Akram and Navid Akram left their home on the southern coast under the pretext of going fishing. They then carried out the attack.

Upon learning about Navid’s background, police surrounded his home in Bonnyrigg, west of Sydney. Speaking to the media during this time, Navid’s mother, Verena, said that her son, an unemployed bricklayer, had last spoken to the family on Sunday morning. He had told them he was going to Jervis Bay with his father for the weekend.
