Gurpreet Singh, a businessman from Ludhiana, Punjab, had parked his car outside his house. He then went inside. Suddenly, he received a message on his phone that the toll had been deducted from his FASTag. Gurpreet Singh was shocked to see the message.
The toll was deducted at the Kiranj toll plaza, which is approximately 3350 kilometresaway from his house. He immediately went outside and checked his car; it was still parked there. Gurpreet Singh then called the NHAI helpline number. He explained the entire incident, stating that his car was parked outside, but Rs. 150 had been deducted from his FASTag wallet account.

A little later, he also contacted the bank’s customer care. The bank informed him that Rs. 150 had been deducted from his FASTag wallet due to a technical glitch. They also assured him that the money would be refunded soon.
