Some time ago, the Union Transport and Road Minister Nitin Gadkari had informed that soon the annual Fastag pass will be implemented across the country. Due to which the pass will have to be made once a year. And travel is free for the whole year.
Annual Fastag pass will be implemented across the country from 15th August. Let us tell you that this will not be mandatory for everyone. But it can prove to be very beneficial for those who travel more on highways. If you are also included in these people, then get an annual Fastag pass.
The process of getting Fastag Annual Pass is quite easy. For this, you can apply directly online. You can book it through Highway Yatra App or NHAI website. You can pre-book before 15th August from the link given there. And after 15th August, you can activate it by going to the same link and making payment through UPI, debit or credit card. And then you can use it easily. For this, you will have to provide the vehicle registration certificate, identity card and information about the active Fastag account.
After the annual pass is activated, you will not have to pay separately at every toll plaza during the journey. This pass is linked to your Fastag account and remains valid for a fixed period. After the expiry of one year, it is necessary to renew it again.
Let us tell you an important thing about this, this will be applicable only on the highways and expressways under the National Highway Authority of India i.e. NHAI. That is, if you are going from Delhi to Agra via Yamuna Expressway, then the annual fastag pass will not be valid there.
