PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana- Good news for farmers. More than half of the country’s population still makes a living through agriculture and farming. But there are many farmers among them who are not able to earn much money through farming. The government takes special care of the interests of these farmers.

There are many elderly farmers in the country who face financial difficulties as they grow old. Farming no longer gives as much profit as it used to. In such a situation, this scheme of the Government of India has brought a new ray of hope in the lives of elderly farmers.

This scheme is for those farmers whose age is 60 years or more and who do not have any regular source of income. After working hard in the fields for years, they can now get a pension of Rs 3000 every month through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana is a pension scheme run by the central government. Farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 can take advantage of this scheme. After applying for the scheme, the farmer has to make a contribution of Rs 55 to Rs 200 every month according to his age. The government also gives the same amount.

On completion of 60 years of age, the farmer starts getting a pension of Rs 3000 every month. If a farmer dies during this period, then 50 percent of the pension is given to his spouse as family pension. To apply in this scheme, farmers must have documents like Aadhar card, Jan Dhan or bank account, mobile number and Khasra Khatauni. Farmers can fill the form by visiting their nearest Common Service Center i.e. CSC.

The aim of this scheme of the government is to make the farmers self-reliant. So that they do not have to depend on others when they grow old. Lakhs of farmers in the country are already taking advantage of this scheme. This scheme is very beneficial for small and marginal farmers.
