EPFO Updates: Interest Rate, Balance Check, and Complaint Process

Special news has come out for the people working in the country, due to which the government has started depositing money in the accounts of the employees and PF account holders of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation. According to the information revealed in the news, about crores of EPFO account holders have started getting interest money. Here we are telling how EPFO account holders can check their balance sitting at home.

Let us tell you that the Finance Ministry of the Government of India has started sending interest money on EPFO deposits to the accounts for the financial year 2024-25. The government has kept the interest rate at 8.25 per cent for the financial year 2024-25. So fa,r interest has been deposited in 32.39 crore accounts. However, money is yet to be sent to the remaining accounts, which may take a few days.

EPFO account holders will earn 8.25%

The government has kept the interest rate at 8.2 per cent for the financial year 2024-25 by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). So, for the same financial year 2023-24, EPFO had fixed the interest rate on provident fund deposits at 8.25 per cent, which is more than 8.15 per cent in 2022-23. Let us tell you that both the employer and the employee contribute to the PF account, on which the government pays interest. Interest money is deposited in the account only once in the whole year.

Know the interest money in EPFO in these ways.

EPFO Website: First, go to the website. Now you have to log in and click on e-passbook. After which. On clicking on e-passbook, you will come to a new page. Where you filling in your username (UAN number), password and captcha. Here you will get your EPF balance on the e-passbook.

UMANG APP: You have to download and install the UMANG app from the Play Store on your phone. Open it and log in to it. After this, you have to tap on the EPFO Option. You have to go to Employee Centric Services. Click on View Passbook. Now, you will see the PF passbook. You will see your interest amount.

Method of SMS and missed call- To know the PF balance, send an SMS to 7738299899 from the mobile number registered with EPFO. For which type of EPFO UAN LAN (language)? For example, for information in Hindi, write HIN in place of LAN. Now write EPFOHO UAN HIN and send it to 7738299899, and the message will come to your mobile.

Then you have to make a missed call from the same phone. Make a missed call to 7738299899 from the UAN-registered mobile number issued by EPFO. Here you will get information about your balance in the form of an SMS.

Complain here if you do not get money.

Many account holders do not get money, due to which there may be a problem with the account or a technical problem. If you have not received the money yet, you can complain to the EPFiGMS (EPF-i- Grievance Management Systems) portal or visit the EPAO office.
