There is very important news for the employees and account holders of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). If you have not yet completed the process of Universal Account Number (UAN) activation and Aadhaar seeding in bank accounts, then complete it immediately, otherwise you may be deprived of the benefits of the ELI scheme (Employment Linked Incentive Scheme). What is the ELI Scheme

In the Budget for the Financial Year 2024-25, three schemes (A, B, and C) were announced for the Employment Related Incentive Scheme. The main objective of the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme (ELI Scheme) is to increase new jobs and help employees and employers.

The scheme aims to generate employment, skills, and other opportunities for 4.1 crore youth in 5 years with an outlay of ₹2 lakh crore. The ELI scheme aims to generate more than 2 crore jobs in 2 years.

How to activate the UAN number?

Activating your UAN is a straightforward process that you can complete online from home:

First, visit the EPFO ​​website epfindia.gov.in.

Click on ‘For Employees’ in the ‘Services’ section.

Click on ‘Member UAN Online Service OCS OTCP’ appearing in the second place in the ‘Services’ column.

Then click on ‘Activate UAN’.

Now fill in the 12-digit UAN and Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, mobile number linked to Aadhaar, captcha code, etc.

Click on the check box of the declaration given below. Click on the ‘Get Authorization Pin’ button.

Now fill in the OTP and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
