EPFO: To recover your Universal Account Number (UAN), it is essential to understand its significance, especially if you are employed and have monthly deductions for your Provident Fund (PF). The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) assigns a unique 12-digit UAN to each active PF account, which is crucial for any transactions related to your PF account. For instance, if you wish to check your EPF balance or update the mobile number associated with your account, the UAN is necessary.
Do you forget your UAN number?
It is common for individuals to forget their UAN; however, there are straightforward methods to retrieve it. The UAN is vital for all EPFO members, as access to your PF account is not possible without it. If you find yourself needing to perform important tasks related to your PF account but cannot recall your UAN, rest assured that solutions are available.
