e-Aadhaar App: Good news for Aadhaar Card holders. The Indian government is soon launching a new mobile application for Aadhaar card holders. This app is being developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Users will soon be able to use it to access various Aadhaar-related services directly from their smartphones. According to reports, this app may launch by the end of this year. The key point is that with this app, you won’t need to visit Aadhaar service centers frequently. Let’s learn more about it…

What is e-Aadhaar?

In reality, e-Aadhaar is nothing more than a digital Aadhaar card, downloadable using your Aadhaar number and OTP verification. However, the new mobile app will make this process even easier. This all-new application will allow Aadhaar card holders to update their name, address, and date of birth, among other important information, from the comfort of their homes.

What will be special in the app?

According to reports, this app may use AI and Face ID technology, providing a secure interface and easy Aadhaar update options. It is also being said that starting in November, visits to Aadhaar centers will be required only for biometric updates, such as fingerprint and iris scans. The app will reduce paperwork, reduce fraud, and make the process faster and easier. UIDAI plans to automatically fetch user data directly from government sources, including birth certificates, PAN cards, passports, driving licenses, ration cards, MNREGA records, and electricity bill details.
