You know that getting a driving license (DL) is a very important task, but what if you are told that now your driving test will be taken by AI, i.e., Artificial Intelligence, instead of a human, i.e., RI? Yes, this is not science fiction, but it is coming true in India. A big change is going to happen in the process of getting a driving license in Uttar Pradesh. Now the responsibility of your driving test will not be of RI, but of AI. It has started in Prayagraj, where UP’s state-of-the-art automated driving testing track center has been built.
Now the DL test will be done under the supervision of AI

Uttar Pradesh’s first state-of-the-art automated driving testing track center has been built in Prayagraj. In this center, the test of those applying for a driving license will be taken with the help of AI-connected sensors and video cameras. This entire process will be automated, which means that there will be no humans in it. This step will eliminate complaints of corruption and discrimination.
Why is this new system being introduced
Till now, the driving test has been conducted at any testing center under the supervision of an RI (Road Inspector). There were often complaints of bias and corruption in this. The new system will eliminate this problem at the root. From taking the test to the final result, the decision will be taken by AI, which will make the entire process fair and reliable. In this way, getting a driving license will become a transparent and fair experience.
AI will give results; this is how you will get marks

According to reports, ARTO Rajeev Chaturvedi says that when people give their driving test under the supervision of AI-equipped cameras and sensors, their results will also be automatically updated on the portal. In this AI-based test, many tests like the L-shape, H-shape, slope, and brake test will be taken. While driving on these patterns, the sensors will immediately tell whether the driver crossed the line or applied the brake prematurely. This test will be of a total of 100 marks, and it will be necessary to get at least 60 marks to pass. It is believed that the driving license obtained from this test will be acceptable all over the world.
Features of the AI-based track
This new track is fully automated, and bikes, cars, and heavy vehicles can also be tested on it. AI-enabled cameras and sensors will record every activity happening on the track. Based on all this data, AI will decide whether you are eligible to get a driving license or not. This system ensures that only skilled and responsible drivers get a license, which will increase safety on the roads.
