Ration Card: There is major update for Ration Card. Big news for ration card holders of Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. The state government has fixed the last date for e-KYC as 30 April. If any ration card holder does not get KYC done by the prescribed date, then the names of such members will be removed from the ration card. Those members will be deprived of food grain distribution.

If a beneficiary is living in another state, he does not need to return to his home state for Aadhaar seeding. The beneficiary can go to the nearest Public Distribution System shop from wherever he is and complete the process through e-POS machine.

Ration card beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh should get e-KYC done by April 30, otherwise there may be trouble. As per the order of the Supreme Court, it is mandatory for all eligible beneficiaries to get e-KYC done. If eKYC of all eligible beneficiaries is not done within the time limit, beneficiaries may face difficulty in getting food grains.

During eKYC, in case of death of a family member, permanent migration or duplicate, an entry will be made for deletion from the login of the local body on the M Ration Mitra portal.

Why eKYC is necessary for ration card holders
