7th Pay Commission: DA will increase by three percent! Know good news

DA Hike Update: The central government is expected to provide positive news to central employees soon, which is being discussed rapidly. Now, central government employees and pensioners are hopeful that this time there will be a decent increase in DA. It is expected that this time, the government will increase the DA by up to 3 per cent. If this happens, then there will be a bumper increase in salary.

In the first half of 2025, only a 2 per cent DA increase could be implemented, which came as a big shock to the employees. Now, employees are likely to receive a higher DA. However, nothing has been said officially about the increase in DA. Such claims are being reported in the media.

How much will the DA be?

If the Modi government increases the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3 per cent in the second half of 2025, there could be a significant increase in salaries. Following this increase, the DA will rise to 58 per cent. Currently, employees receive a 55 per cent DA benefit—the rates of DA, which will increase further, will take effect fully. As shown in the calculation below, the salary will increase.

How much will the salary increase?

Suppose the DA of central employees is increased by 3 per cent. If an employee’s salary is Rs 40,000, it is sure to rise by Rs 1,200 as per a 3 per cent DA. According to this, his salary is expected to rise by Rs 14,400 annually. The benefit of the increased salary will be given from July 1. The government increases the DA twice a year.

When can the 8th Pay Commission be implemented?

Now, the question arising in everyone’s mind is when the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented. The central government has announced the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, but it has not yet been finalised. It is expected that the government will form the 8th Pay Commission in the first week of July.

There is a tradition of implementing a new pay commission every ten years. If this trend continues, the latest pay commission will take effect as of January 1, 2025. The 7th Pay Commission will complete ten years on Decemberr 31,20255.
