UP Pensioners DA Hike: Before Akshaya Tritiya, the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift to lakhs of pensioners. After increasing the dearness allowance for employees and civil service officers, the Yogi government has now raised the dearness relief (DR) for pensioners by 2 percent, increasing it from 53 percent to 55 percent.
The new rates will be effective from January 2025. As a result, arrears for January, February, and March will be paid along with the pension for April, which will be disbursed in May. These orders will also apply to pensioners of All India Services but will not apply to High Court judges, local bodies, and public sector undertaking employees. Separate instructions will be issued by the concerned departments for them.
