DA Hike: The state government has issued orders to disburse dearness allowance at the rate of 58 percent to over 2.50 lakh employees before Diwali. Employees will receive cash payments of DA from July 1st to October 31st.

Apart from this, non-gazetted employees will be given the benefit of bonus. The Finance Department issued orders in this regard. The central government has decided to give 3 percent DA to the employees, in which the rate of dearness allowance has been revised from 55 percent to 58 percent from July 1, 2025.

The decision was taken to release bonus and DA to the employees before Diwali. The State Employees Joint Council had requested Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to release the bonus and dearness allowance (DA) before Diwali. Additional Secretary Finance Dr. Ahmed Iqbal stated that the process for bonus and DA was ongoing at the government level. Following this, the release of the bonus and dearness allowance was announced today.

Many state governments have become kind to their government employees. On the occasion of Diwali, the governments of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have made a huge increase in dearness allowance. This has brought great relief to the government employees. Himachal Pradesh government has announced a 3% DA hike for employees and pensioners.

This announcement will benefit 1.91 lakh employees and 1.71 lakh pensioners. The state government employees will benefit from a minimum of Rs 800 per month to Rs 8 thousand for the Chief Secretary.
