Double happiness for employees with 7th Pay Commission
For the employees who are getting the benefit of 7th Pay Commission, this news is no less than a bonus. The government has increased their DA i.e. dearness allowance by 2%. Earlier this rate was 53%, now it has increased directly to 55%. This change is not just for the future but has been considered applicable from January 2025 itself. That is, whatever arrears are there from January to May 2025, will come in the hands of the employees in cash in June. Earlier this rate was 246%, now it has increased to 252%. Although these new rates will be applicable for them from July 1, 2025, but its effect will be seen immediately in their salary and pension.
How many people will get the benefit?

DA has been increased earlier also
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that DA has been increased. Even before this, the government had increased the rates of DA in January and March. In January, the DA of the employees of the 7th Pay Commission was increased by 3%, due to which it increased from 50% to 53%. This change was implemented from July 1, 2024. Then in March, the DA of the employees coming under the Sixth Pay Commission was increased by 7%, due to which their rate reached 239% to 246%. Now once again DA has been increased for July 2025.
