DA Hike 2025: The central government increased the rates of dearness allowance and relief of central employees and pensioners by 2%, after which DA has increased from 53% to 55% from January 2025. After the Center, now the state governments have also started announcing DA hike. So far, Rajasthan, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Assam and Odisha governments have increased the DA of their employees and pensioners.
In this regard, the finance departments of different states have also issued orders. The new rates will be applicable from January 2025, in such a situation, 3 months’ arrears will also be available. The salary of April, which is to be received in May, will also get the benefit of increased DA / DR in the salary of employees and pension of pensioners. Apart from this, arrears will be given in the form of installments. About 45 lakh employees and pensioners will get the benefit of this.
Rajasthan: On April 1, Bhajan Lal government has increased the DA of 12.50 lakh employees and pensioners of the state by 2% to 55% under the 7th Pay Commission. This will benefit 8 lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners. The increased DA will be paid in cash from the salary of April 2025 payable in May 2025. The amount for three months from January 1 to March 31, 2025 will be deposited in the GPF account of the concerned employees.
Gujarat: The Bhupendra Patel government has increased the dearness allowance of employees benefiting from the 7th Pay Commission by 2% and the dearness allowance of employees benefiting from the 6th Pay Commission by 6%. A total of 4.78 lakh employees of the state government, Panchayat service and others and about 4.81 lakh retired employees i.e. pensioners will get the benefit of this. The new rates will be applicable from January 1, 2025, so the DA difference from January to March 31, 2025 will be paid in one installment in May along with the salary of April 2025.
Madhya Pradesh: Mohan government has increased DA of employees receiving 7th pay scale by 5% (3% in July 2024, 2% in January 2025), after which DA has increased from 50 to 55%. Arrears amount from 1st July 2024 to 30th April 2025 will be paid in 5 installments from June to October 2025. First installment will be paid in June, second installment in July, third installment in August, fourth installment in September, 5th installment in October, 2025. In respect of retired / deceased government servants during the period from 1st January 2024 to 30th September 2024, arrears amount will be paid to them / nominated member in lump sum.
