New Delhi: Now, the focus of all the central employees is on the increasing dearness allowance. People are wondering how much DA can be increased for central employees. In the first half of the year 2025, the DA of central employees was increased by just 2 per cent. This was the lowest increase, which has also proved to be a big setback for the employees.

When is a DA increase possible?
DA of central employees is expected to increase by 3 per cent. DA can increase to 58 perper cent of central eDA before Diwali, which will prove to be like a gift. More than one crore employees and pensioners will get the benefit of the DA increase. This can lead to a bumper increase in salary.
If the salary of an employee is Rs 40,000, then according to 3% DA, there can be an increase of Rs 1200 per month. According to this, an increase of Rs 14,400 can be seen annually. This will prove to be some kind of booster dose for the employees.
What is the status of the 8th Pay Commission?
By when can the 8th Pay Commission be implemented, th? thenisstion is also still hanging in the balance. In January, the government gave the green signal to this pay commission, but the non-formation of the committee till now is raising many big questions. The committee is likely to be formed only by Diwali.
Now the 8th Pay Commission will not be implemented from January 1, 2026. This will prove to be a big setback for the employees. Now the benefits of the new pay commission are likely to start by the year 2028.
