The government provides direct financial assistance of ₹10,000 initially, giving women the first step towards becoming self-reliant. The sixth installment was recently released. Learn who can benefit from this scheme and how women from rural and urban areas can easily apply.
Which women will be beneficiaries

The primary goal of this ambitious scheme launched by the Bihar government is to help women in the state create employment opportunities, not just find jobs. The Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme will only benefit women who are associated with Jeevika Groups. The government has released five installments so far, and the sixth installment was released on October 31st.
More than 1 million women have benefited from this scheme so far. The government provides financial assistance for investment in 18 types of small businesses. The first installment of ₹10,000 is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account. Most importantly, if a woman continues her work for six months, she can receive additional assistance of up to ₹2 lakh to help her expand her business.
Application Process for the Scheme
Separate procedures have been established for women in rural and urban areas to apply under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. Women living in rural areas who are associated with Jeevika Self Help Groups (SHGs) can submit their applications directly to their Village Organization (VoH).
A special meeting of the Village Organization will be convened to accept applications from all interested women. Women who are not yet affiliated with a self-help group must first become members of one to apply. Women living in urban areas can apply online by visiting the scheme’s official website (www.brlps.in).

It is crucial to have certain mandatory documents ready at the time of application to avoid any disruptions in the process.
