HRA Hike: Good news for so many people of state. After a 10 percent increase in the house rent allowance of Madhya Pradesh government employees, now the order for revised house rent allowance for the personnel of MP Power Management Company has been issued today. Other conditions regarding the approval of house rent allowance will remain as before. The guidelines related to house rent will be effective from April 1, 2025.

The Power Management Company has accepted the order regarding revision of house rent allowance payable to the Government servants of the State Government with necessary amendments by substituting ‘company employee’ in place of ‘Government servant’.

Company personnel residing in cities with a population of 7 lakh or more will be paid 10 percent of the basic salary as per the Pay Revision Rules 2017. Company personnel residing in cities with a population of more than 3 lakh but less than 7 lakh will be paid 7 percent of the basic salary as per the Pay Revision Rules 2017.

Company personnel residing in cities with population less than 3 lakh will be paid 5 percent of the basic salary as per Pay Revision Rules 2017.

In the order issued, it has been clarified that the employees who have been allotted company residential houses or who are residing in rent-free company residential houses or who are being given any other allowance in lieu of rent-free residential house, will not be eligible for house rent allowance. Personnel appointed on contract, ad-hoc, permanent and daily wage basis will not be eligible for house rent allowance.

MP Power Management Company has issued an order to revise the amount of ex-gratia grant given to the dependent family on the death of an employee while in service of the company and make it a maximum of Rs. 1,25,000.

MP Power Management Company has decided to approve an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 1,25,000, maximum equal to six times the pay payable as per Pay Revision Rules 2017, to the dependent family of a company employee in case of his death while in service with the company.

The order will be effective on cases from 1 April 2025 or thereafter. Other conditions for paying ex-gratia grant will remain in effect as before.
