Care of will no longer have to be written in the address update

UIDAI has clarified that the Care Of option has now been removed while updating the address in the Aadhaar card. That is, the Aadhaar holder will no longer need to write the name of the parents or husband. The address can be updated by just entering your address. This change is a relief for those who used to get upset with the option of Care Of.
An appointment is mandatory before going to the Aadhaar center
UIDAI has also implemented the rule that, before getting any kind of update, it will be necessary to take an online appointment at the Aadhaar Service Center. If you go without an appointment, there may be a delay, or the service may not be available. The fee for updating the mobile number has been kept at Rs 50. For this, it will be mandatory to carry the original Aadhaar card, a valid identity card, and a new mobile number to the Aadhaar center. Also, biometric verification will have to be done.
Necessary update for 10-year-old Aadhaar holders

UIDAI has also clarified that people whose Aadhaar is 10 years or older will have to get their Aadhaar card updated biometrically. This will include photo, fingerprint, and iris scanning. Failure to do so may cause the Aadhaar card to be deactivated. If Aadhaar is deactivated, facilities like banking services, benefits of government schemes, gas subsidy, pension, insurance claim, PAN linking, and mobile SIM may be affected.
