PM Kisan 22nd Installment: An extremely important warning has been issued for the millions of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). If you, too, are eagerly awaiting the 22nd installment, due in February 2026, then this news is for you. It’s often seen that millions of farmers’ money gets stuck just before the ₹2,000 is supposed to be credited to their bank accounts, primarily due to incomplete e-KYC or minor technical errors on paperwork.

The central government transfers the ₹2,000 honorarium directly to farmers’ accounts three times a year through DBT, but due to stricter regulations, ineligible farmers and those with missing documents are now being excluded from this list.

Why Does PM Kisan Fund Get Stuck

The central government has made it absolutely clear that the benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana will only be given to farmers who are fully eligible and whose documents are digitally updated. If your 22nd installment is delayed, there could be several major reasons behind it that often go unnoticed by farmers.

The primary and most important reason is the lack of e-KYC. The government has made KYC mandatory on the portal for all old and new beneficiaries. Furthermore, if your bank account isn’t linked to Aadhaar (Aadhaar Seeding) or the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) option isn’t enabled on your account, the money transfer will fail.

In many cases, installments are also delayed due to misspellings of names, bank account numbers, and IFSC codes on the application form. Furthermore, the government is now conducting physical verification of land records, and farmers whose land records aren’t updated on the portal are being excluded from the scheme.

How to Check Status from Home

If you want to know whether your next installment will be credited to your account, you don’t need to visit a government office.

You can use the official website pmkisan.gov.in or the PM Kisan mobile app.
On the website’s home page, you’ll see an option to “Know Your Status.” Click on it and enter your registration number.
If you don’t remember your registration number, don’t worry. You can retrieve it using your mobile number or Aadhaar number by clicking on “Know Your Registration Number.”
After entering your registration number and captcha code, click “Get Details.” The full status will appear on your screen.
Here, you can check whether your KYC is successful or not, and if any of your previous installments are pending, the exact reason.

When will the 22nd installment arrive

According to the rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, the next installment is released every four months. The previous 21st installment was successfully credited to farmers’ accounts in November 2025. Based on this cycle, it’s highly likely that the 22nd installment will arrive in February 2026.

Although the government hasn’t officially announced a specific date yet, farmers are advised to check their status before the installment arrives. If the status shows ‘No’ or ‘Pending,’ they should immediately visit their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or block agriculture department office to have it corrected to avoid delays in the payment.
