On the occasion of Independence Day, banks across the country will observe a public holiday on Friday, 15th August 2025. Banking services will be closed at the branch level, but digital services, including ATMs, internet banking, and mobile banking, will remain operational for customers.

During bank holidays, there will be no impact on net banking, mobile banking, or UPI. You will be able to do transactions without any hassle. August 16 (Saturday) – Janmashtami – Bank holiday will be in many cities. Like Chennai, Hyderabad, Ranchi.

August 19 (Tuesday) – Agartala will be closed only on the occasion of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur’s birth anniversary.

August 25 (Monday) – Srimanta Sankardev Tirubhav Tithi – Only Guwahati will be closed.

August 27 (Wednesday) – Ganesh Chaturthi will be a holiday in cities like Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai, Hyderabad etc.

August 28 (Thursday) – Ganesh Chaturthi (second day) / Nuakhai – Holiday in Bhubaneswar and Panaji.
