When will banks remain closed next week (June 8–14)?
According to the RBI calendar, there are no major nationwide public holidays on weekdays (Monday to Friday) next week, though banks will remain closed over the weekend.
June 7 (Today): Banks across the country will remain closed as it is a Sunday.
June 13: This is the second Saturday of the month; therefore, banking operations will not take place.
June 14: Banks will remain closed due to the Sunday holiday.
Holidays during the rest of June
Banks will also remain closed on several days later in the month:
June 15: Banks will remain closed in Mizoram (YMA Day) and Odisha (Raja Sankranti).
June 25–26: Banks will remain closed in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata on the occasion of Muharram.
June 29: There will be a holiday in Shimla on the occasion of Guru Kabir Jayanti.
June 30: Banks will remain closed in Aizawl due to ‘Remna Ni’.
Online services will remain available.
The good news is that even when bank branches are closed, online banking services will continue uninterrupted, allowing you to handle tasks from the comfort of your home. Services such as UPI, NEFT, and RTGS remain operational 24/7. Net banking and mobile apps: You can use these to check your balance, pay bills, or transfer money.
ATM: ATM facilities will continue to be available for cash withdrawals.
