September 29 (Monday): Banks will be closed in Agartala, Gangtok, and Kolkata on the occasion of Maha Saptami or Durga Puja.

September 30 (Tuesday): Banks will be closed in several cities, including Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi, on the occasion of Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami.

Almost all states will observe a bank holiday on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. Banks will be closed in all states and union territories on this day.

Banks will be closed on both days due to Durga Puja in Sikkim.

October 6, 2025

Banks will be closed on Lakshmi Puja in Tripura and West Bengal.

October 7, Tuesday: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti
Banks will be closed in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab.

All banks in India are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. If there are five Saturdays in a month, the first, third, and fifth Saturdays can be working days, provided there are no other holidays on the RBI holiday list.
