Bank Holiday – Bank Holiday September: October is full of festivals. Navratri is over, but major festivals like Diwali, Chhath, and Bhai Dooj are still approaching. Banks have announced holidays for these. If you’re planning to visit the bank this month, you should check the holiday dates before you go to avoid any problems.

The RBI calendar provides information on bank holidays. It also indicates the bank holidays in each state. States can also declare holidays on specific days, but they must obtain permission from the RBI to do so.

Will there be a holiday on October 4?

According to the RBI calendar, October 4th is a holiday in Sikkim for Durga Puja. If you live in Sikkim, you should avoid visiting the bank tomorrow. Other holiday information is not available for any other state.

October bank holidays

On October 6th, Tripura and West Bengal have declared a holiday for Lakshmi Puja. Banks will be closed on October 7th in Karnataka, Chandigarh, Odisha, and Himachal Pradesh. On October 10th, banks will be closed in Himachal Pradesh for Karva Chauth. Banks will be closed on October 18th in Assam, and on October 20th and 21st in almost the entire country for Diwali and Govardhan Puja.

On October 27th, a holiday has been declared in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand for the Chhath festival. Bihar will also observe a holiday on October 28th for the Chhath festival. With so many bank holidays throughout the month of October, there may be disruptions in bank operations. Therefore, ensure you complete your important banking work on time.
