Due to this, you will not be able to take advantage of the services related to the bank during this period. Let us tell you that the bank has to update such important servers regularly. The bank’s service remains closed for some time.

Crores of SBI customers should immediately finish the transaction work with money; otherwise, the problem may increase. The bank has said that the UPI service will be closed for some time on 6 August 2025. During this time, customers will not be able to make any digital payment.

When will the SBI UPI service be closed?
Banks in the country do such maintenance work from time to time, due to which the banking service is stopped. SBI announced on the social media platform X that this service will be closed due to technical improvements and maintenance. The maintenance time will be from 1:00 pm to 1:20 pm on August 6, i.e. about 20 minutes. It is important to note that during this time period, customers will not be able to do UPI transactions. However, this time is only for 20 minutes.
In such a situation, SBI customers should finish their important work in time; otherwise, their important work may get stuck. As the bank said that due to necessary maintenance, only the UPI service will be closed. During this time, no UPI transaction will be possible. If you have to send money to someone, make an online shopping payment, bill payment, then it will not be possible. Therefore, finish the important money transactions in advance, or you may face problems.

UPI Lite will be useful
According to the bank, customers can use the UPI Lite service during this period. Let us tell you that this is an optional service. Which is useful in small transactions like tea, coffee, grocery items or paying bus or auto fare. In this, money is deducted directly from your wallet. Such transactions do not require verification from the bank.

However, you will have to activate the UPI Lite facility in advance by going to your PhonePe, Paytm or other payment app. Then you will be able to make such small transactions. Users can make a payment of up to Rs 1,000 at a time through UPI Lite. RBI has set a maximum limit of Rs 5,000 in this wallet.
