Aadhaar Card Update– Aadhaar card is an important document to avail the benefits of government schemes.If your Aadhaar card is older than 10 years and you want to update it, then get this work done before 14 June. This will get your work done for free. Actually, the last date to update Aadhaar card for free is 14 June 2025. After this you will not get this chance.

However, the facility of updating the Aadhaar card for free is available only on the website. If you go to the Aadhaar centre and get this work done, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 for it. Let us tell you that UIDAI suggests Aadhaar card holders to update their identity and address proof every 10 years after getting Aadhaar made.

What can you update?

In your Aadhaar card, you can update your home address, phone number, name, email ID, etc. But if you want to update information like photo, biometric and iris, then for this you will have to go to the enrollment center and also pay the charge.

Documents required

For updating Aadhaar, you will have to upload your name, date of birth, residential certificate or other required identity proof online. After the deadline, you will have to pay a charge. If you want to change your biometric information, you will have to pay a fee of Rs. 100 and if you want to update any demographic information, you will have to pay a fee of Rs. 50.

 

How to update aadhaar

– First of all open ‘https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in’ in the browser.

– Click on Login and enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and captcha code.

– Then click on ‘Send OTP’. After this, login by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

– After this, click on the Document Update option and upload the relevant document.

– Make sure the file is in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format and is less than 2MB in size.

– Review the information provided. Then click on ‘Submit’.

– After this you will get a Service Request Number (SRN), through which you can track the status.
