You now have a chance to win a prize of Rs 1 lakh by designing the Aadhaar Official Mascot. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recently announced the competition to design the Aadhaar Official Mascot.
UIDAI has launched the mascot design competition which is nationwide. The eligible participants must be Indian citizens to make the official Aadhaar mascot. The competition is conducted on the government platform MyGov and will remain open to contributions until October 31, 2025. All the winners will win a prize of up to Rs. 1 Lakh.
Purpose of Creating the Aadhaar Mascot
The main goal of creating the official Aadhaar mascot is to have a unique and memorable character. The mascot will reflect the core values of Aadhaar: trust, empowerment, and digital innovation. UIDAI said the mascot will become the visual face of Aadhaar, making its communication more clear and accessible to all age groups.
The competition is open to all Indian citizens, both individuals and teams. Each participant can submit an original mascot design with a concept note and a name for the mascot. All submissions must be made through the MyGov competition page.
Mascot Design Guidelines
The mascot must reflect the principles and goals of UIDAI: trust, service, security, and digital empowerment. It should be unique, original, and distinctive, without copying existing characters, mascots, or trademarks. The design must be simple yet attractive and easy to understand for children, youth, and senior citizens.
The mascot should be suitable for multiple media: print, digital platforms, animation, products, and large-scale branding. It should also be flexible for future 3D, animated, or stylized formats. Designs that are offensive, discriminatory, derogatory, or inappropriate will be rejected. The design must not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property, copyright, or trademark.
Submission Requirements
All entries must be submitted only through the official MyGov competition page. Entries submitted by any other method will not be considered. Each entry must follow the format requirements given on the official competition page.
Evaluation and Awards
Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and uniqueness (30%), alignment with UIDAI’s values and goals (25%), aesthetic appeal, simplicity, and universal relevance (25%), and scalability in different formats (20%). UIDAI’s decision will be final and binding, and cannot be challenged or appealed.
