Volkswagen Taigun Facelift 2026 – The midsize SUV segment has become exactly like a race track at the moment. Every brand is trying to get ahead by giving its car a new look and more features. In such a situation, Volkswagen also does not want to be behind. Recently updated model of Volkswagen Taigun has been spotted on Indian roads during testing.
This camouflage-covered SUV clearly indicates that the company is working on a mid-cycle update. However, it will not be a completely new generation, but will see a mild but necessary change in design and features.
Exterior design
Spy photos cover the front and rear parts of the test car heavily. This usually means that changes are being made in these parts. It is expected that Taigun will see the new grille design, more sharp LED headlamps and updated front bumpers.
New design of LED tailamps can be found at the rear. Connected light bars can also be added given the trend running in the segment. Also the new rear bumpers and new alloy wheels will complete the look.

Interior
Talking about the interior, no revolutionary change is expected in the cabin. The dashboard layout can remain almost the same. However, changes in seat upholstery and interior color theme can be seen. This will give the cabin a new feel.
When it comes to features, ventilated front seats and electrically adjustable driver seats can be added. Panoramic sunroof can also be found in the top variants.
The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster will continue. Cruise control and other comfort features will also remain.
In safety, six airbags, ABS, EBD and traction control will remain standard. However ADAS and 360-degree cameras are less likely to be added to this update.
Engine
The 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine is expected to continue under the hood. This engine produces 115 PS (approximately 113 bhp) of power and 178 Nm of torque.
The six-speed manual gearbox will remain the same. However, it is reported that the current six-speed automatic could be replaced by a new eight-speed automatic.

Launch and Compition
Volkswagen has not yet announced an official launch date. But road testing has started, so it is expected that the facelift model may launch in the next few months.
This update is necessary because competition from SUVs such as Honda Elevate, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and the upcoming new Duster is steadily increasing.
