VinFast unveils VF6 and VF7 SUVs: Rolls-Royce has launched a new icon of performance and luxury in India. The hype is not just about the badge — it’s about all that lies beneath and above it.

Spectre Black Badge Launch and Price

Rolls-Royce has now officially introduced the Spectre Black Badge in India, priced at ₹9.5 crore (ex-showroom). The Chennai and New Delhi showrooms of the brand have begun accepting bookings. While a standard Spectre EV was launched in India earlier this year at ₹7.62 crore, this Black Badge edition goes a step further in performance as well as exclusivity.

Powertrain and Range

The Spectre Black Badge is the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever produced. It’s equipped with a twin-motor configuration that produces a mind-boggling 659bhp and a top torque of 1,075Nm. From 0 to 100kph in a stunning 4.1 seconds, the electric coupe combines performance with poise. Beneath is a 102kWh battery, yielding an impressive WLTP-certified range of up to 530 km on one charge.

Exterior Styling and Design

The design features on Spectre Black Badge make it stand out with a signature dark styling. It receives blacked-out accessories such as the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, grille, door handles, and badges. Contributing to the rarity are 23-inch forged aluminium wheels and new Vapour Violet paint finish, creating a very distinctive road presence.

Colour Options and Custom Touch

Customers can have their Spectre Black Badge tailored with four distinct colours of choice — Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, and Forge Yellow. The styling and finishing detail reflects volumes of the bespoke luxury Rolls-Royce is famous for.

Comparison with Standard Spectre EV

Though the regular Spectre EV is priced at a bit lower rate of ₹7.62 crore, the Black Badge variant gives an extra dose of power, better design cues, and a darker, more assertive theme. The extra ₹1.88 crore brings an undeniable improvement in driving dynamics and scarcity, which makes it for those who desire more than mere luxury.
