The 7-seater segment in India remains one of the strongest categories in the auto market. With growing families and rising demand for practical yet stylish vehicles, manufacturers continue to compete fiercely in this space. July 2025 sales figures reveal exciting trends, with some models gaining momentum while others struggled to keep pace.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga continues to lead the 7-seater sales chart in July 2025. With 16,604 units sold, it marked a 6 percent growth over the same month last year. Its popularity is driven by affordability, practicality, and consistent performance.

Mahindra Scorpio

The Mahindra Scorpio retained its second position with strong demand. In July 2025, it recorded 13,747 units, showing 12 percent growth from last year. Its rugged road presence and loyal customer base make it one of the most trusted SUVs in the segment.

Toyota Innova

Toyota Innova, known for reliability and comfort, saw a dip in sales. It posted 9,119 units in July 2025, down 8 percent from last year’s 9,912. Premium SUV competition appears to be affecting its numbers.

Kia Carens

Kia Carens emerged as a big winner, selling 7,602 units in July 2025. Compared to 5,679 units last year, this marked a 34 percent jump. The launch of the Carens Clavis and its electric variant fueled this growth with strong bookings.

Mahindra Bolero

Bolero, a trusted name in rural and semi-urban markets, continued to perform well. It achieved 7,513 units in July 2025, up by 8 percent over last year’s 6,930, proving its dependability.

Mahindra XUV700

Mahindra XUV700 slipped slightly in the rankings. It registered 7,054 units, falling 9 percent compared to 7,769 units in July 2024. Despite advanced features, it shows how competition can impact even popular models.

Toyota Fortuner

Toyota Fortuner was another strong performer in July 2025. With 3,233 units sold, it recorded an impressive 36 percent rise over last year. Its premium positioning and strong demand kept it moving upward.

Maruti Suzuki XL6

The XL6 struggled to maintain momentum. It sold 2,146 units in July 2025, a steep 27 percent decline from 2,923 units a year ago. The segment shift towards newer models may be a reason.

Renault Triber

Renault Triber made solid progress with 1,987 units in July 2025. This was a 36 percent improvement from 1,457 units last year. The facelifted version helped attract more buyers to the compact 7-seater.

Tata Safari

At the bottom of the chart, Tata Safari faced a tough month. Sales dropped by 41 percent, recording only 1,242 units compared to 2,109 last year. Changing buyer preferences have impacted its demand.
